The mission of the Colorado Consortium on Climate Change and Human Health is to address current and future health issues affected by climate variability and change by bringing together a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, biomedical scientists, public health practitioners, epidemiologists, and anthropologists, along with atmospheric scientists and climatologists.
Our approach includes: education of a new generation of physicians, biomedical researchers and public health practitioners on climate sensitive diseases; research to understand mechanisms of climate sensitive diseases, to track changes in climate sensitive diseases, and to develop clinical interventions to make a difference; and outreach to the communities affected by climate sensitive diseases.
